Ocoee sits directly east of Winter Garden, roughly seven miles from Oakland along the State Road 50 corridor, and its housing is a timeline laid end to end.
Blocks near the old downtown date from the middle of the last century, with modest footprints and ductwork reworked more than once. Further out, subdivisions from the 1990s onward are larger, with longer runs and mechanical closets built to a plan.
Gas furnaces and heat pumps both appear across that span, and the split is not tidy: a 1970s block and a 2005 subdivision can sit a mile apart and share nothing mechanically.
The city runs its own building department, so a replacement inside Ocoee is reviewed locally rather than by Orange County. On the older streets, a furnace that keeps hitting its limit is usually starved of return air, whether from a filter grille too small for the blower, a return panned into a joist bay, or a door that closes off the only path back. That is settled with a static pressure reading before any part gets ordered.
